Navigating Global Sustainability through Innovation and Impact
Halvorson focuses on sustainable packaging partnerships and real-estate initiatives that advance PepsiCo’s environmental goals. Previously, as senior manager of sustainable agriculture partnership solutions on PepsiCo’s Global Sustainable Agriculture team, he supported the company’s sustainable sourcing objectives by forging multi‐stakeholder alliances with USAID and the Inter‐American Development Bank. These partnerships were specifically designed to promote women’s economic empowerment in key crop regions across Latin America, Sub‐Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia.
Over the past three years, Halvorson has designed and launched partnership solutions addressing systemic procurement challenges across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia, mobilizing tens of millions in development funding.
Before joining PepsiCo, he was technical director at Resonance, where he crafted public-private collaboration frameworks for corporate, donor and NGO clients in emerging markets. Earlier, he founded J&H Consulting, guiding organizations on sustainable business models and stakeholder engagement.

Building a Greener Future
In his current role, Halvorson collaborates closely with internal and external partners to integrate sustainability into facility design, asset management and packaging operations. He has led the development of sustainable packaging pilots at key manufacturing sites, establishing recyclable and reusable packaging streams. He also oversees the incorporation of green-building standards across PepsiCo’s real-estate portfolio, driving energyefficient upgrades, renewableenergy procurement and lowcarbon material specifications.
Under his leadership, the team secured renewableenergy procurement agreements that offset a significant portion of site electricity consumption with wind and solar power. His leadership in these projects underpins PepsiCo’s sustainable sourcing objectives and demonstrates his ability to scale impact through public-private partnerships.
