Every growing season tells a story shaped by planting timing, weather patterns and countless variables that can alter yield. Across vast acres, conditions can change overnight, making it nearly impossible for farmers to spot every issue in time. Nutrient shortages, disease outbreaks and irrigation gaps quietly erode yields, while unpredictable weather and crop stress make managing fields even more challenging.
Intelinair helps growers see what’s really happening in their fields without having to walk every acre themselves. The leading imagery and analytics provider offers an easy-to-use interactive platform, AGMRI, which captures high-resolution images and crop data and turns them into actionable insights that guide farmers. Notifications pinpoint field anomalies, crop stress, or emerging risks across acres, giving farmers an early heads-up. Dashboards track how conditions, crop performance and management practices change across fields over time.
Retailers and advisors use these insights to help their clients make better agronomic decisions across larger territories.
“Our overarching objective is to provide growers and ag retailers with the information they need to have productive discussions and make decisions where changes in management practices can protect yield potential,” says Tim Hassinger, CEO and president.
Our overarching objective is to provide growers and ag retailers with the information they need to have productive discussions and make decisions where changes in management practices can protect yield potential.
One area where Intelinair aims to bring meaningful value is through Analyze, a feature available both during the growing season and at the end of the year. While many tools focus only on showing what is happening in a field, the Analyze feature helps growers and ag retailers better understand why it is happening in their field.
A key part of this capability is that all evaluation is done at the zone level, where most of the true variability exists. By forecasting yield by zone in-season, the Analyze feature helps estimate potential yield loss as conditions change. This gives a clearer understanding of how much yield may be at risk in specific parts of the field while there is still time to take action to protect yield. It also creates a foundation for identifying which management practices may be contributing to those differences, whether it is planting date, hybrid choice, nitrogen strategy and timing, fungicide timing relative to disease pressure, population decisions, or other agronomic factors.
Intelinair has shown this value play out in several real-world cases. Two brothers in Indiana, farming corn, soybeans and wheat, relied on manure as their primary nitrogen source. A wet spring followed by a dry summer caused significant nitrogen loss, creating midseason stress and putting 10 to 30 bushels per acre at risk in certain zones. Using zone-level insights from Intelinair, they identified exactly where the nutrient loss was occurring and shifted to an injection system with stabilizers. The growers adjusted timing and placement and monitored progress through the season. By harvest, the weaker zones had recovered, bringing their field back into balance.
Another Indiana grower faced uneven planting dates and inconsistent rainfall, which created wide variation in crop stages across his corn acres. Scouting every field was impractical and judging fungicide timing to help combat the Tar Spot disease became increasingly difficult. Intelinair’s Analyze feature highlighted high-risk zones and helped guide fungicide application when the crop was most vulnerable. This allowed the grower to protect yield where it mattered most and avoid unnecessary applications where risk for disease was low.
These examples represent how zone-level evaluation can support more precise and practical decisions in-season and also help identify longer-term management opportunities for planning for the next crop year.
Helping growers and retailers anticipate agronomic challenges before they even surface, Intelinair has become an indispensable partner for confident, data-driven field management.
