It was with great excitement that Sharp Bros Seed Co. “The Original Buffalo Brand” and AVSeeds announce a growing and sales partnership! With almost 200 years of combined experience in the seed business, it was inevitable that we join forces. The legendary products from Sharp Bros Seed will be available through AVS, and all brands of AVS products can be accessed via the Sharp sales team in Healy, KS. While AVS will lean on Sharp Bros for their over 100 years of growing expertise in the warm season native grass sector, “The Original Buffalo Brand" will find broader markets paired with the AVS brands. Bloomers, Vitality and Rabbit Ears gain a new prominence be handled by Sharp Bros.

There is reassurance in having Dan Sharp in your corner, a legacy farmer from America’s heartland, doing what he does best” said Larry Nixon AVSeeds General Manager. “As a young 3rd generation seedsman, I remember listening to Bob Appleman, the founder of Arkansas Valley Seed visiting with my dad about growing and selling seed” said Dan Sharp, President of Sharp Bros. Seed Co. “Bob and Dad remain friends, with many years trading seed and ideas back and forth to help further the seed industry. This partnership with AVS brings this friendship back full circle, and I am excited for the opportunity to work together with the great people at AVS and bring the highest quality seed to all customers throughout all markets” Dan remarked.
